[ My Site Security Breakdown ]

Keeping the Hackers, Auto-Bots and Spammers out is a major undertaking.

** Notation entered on 01-May-2021, on writeOn — (double entendre’ there) — aka b92.co.uk: is where I’ve currently got the ShieldPRO security plugin installed, but not for long.

(b92.in) is my writeOn development site that’s housed in India, ..
And it’s here where I’ve got the WP Cerber Security plugin installed. Also, from the email reports that I’m getting coming from the automatous set of scripts, then it seems to be working very well indeed.

The Sales Pitch:-

Phew, after that: you’d naturally think that that’s all you need, and to a degree, (it is), but this lot push their subscription model on you every moment they can. It’s not that its bad: its just that once you’ve gone down that particular path of subscribing, then getting out is hard work, to be next to impossible when they unilaterally put their prices up, as ShieldPRO have just done.

Whereas where Cerber is concerned, (and this is big selling point as far as I’m concerned), is that the bloomin thing simply functions right out of the box, the plugin also comes complete with a sensible set of working menus.

It’s a must have, but I’m still not subscribing to it.
